Competition bocce
Two federated leagues run across Victoria, leading into state championships and selection for national and international competition.
FEDERATED LEAGUE
Raffa League
Volo bocce derives its name from the Italian verb volare, which means ‘to fly.’ This refers to the technique used to play the game, wherein players will throw their ball in an attempt to knock away an opponent’s ball.

Raffa bocce is named after the “raffa shot,” which is a special shot made to strike a certain object declared in advance (a target ball or jack).
Raffa is sometimes referred to more casually as Roundup.
